Goodships is the creative practice of Greg Privett and, as often as possible, the good friends he brings in as collaborators.

About Greg

Greg is a creative leader, writer and entrepreneur who most recently served as the Cofounder and ECD of the award-winning experiential agency Makeout. There, he partnered with brands like Peacock, The Knicks, FX, KFC, Pizza Hut and Colgate to create one-of-a-kind immersive experiences, music festivals, pop-ups, street stunts and all kinds of other IRL projects, and saw the studio named to Adweek’s Fastest Growing list (twice).

Through Makeout and beyond, Greg has also worked extensively in strategy, concepting, writing and creative direction for integrated campaigns that included commercials, digital and social. See some of his campaign work here.

In every collaboration, Greg brings his biggest creative, strategic and entrepreneurial lessons learned from over a decade of working on special projects – as well as his favorite collaborators, when desired – to the table for ambitious companies and leaders looking to solve big, interesting challenges, regardless of whether those challenges exist in experiential, creative marketing, or other aspects of the business landscape.

Specifically, here are three areas of impact you can expect:

  • Vision. You might think you need an idea, but that’s really only the start. Greg has built an expertise in fast-paced ideation, as well as in the simultaneous acts of building and refining each idea into a foundational vision that can everyone involved can see so clearly, they know how to design it, package it, amplify it and so on – from their own skillsets, all in harmony.

  • Speed. Projects can often move faster than you might think – as long as everyone involved can embrace a fast-moving journey. As the former leader of a crew often referred to as a “creative SWAT team,” Greg is ready to not just move fast, but to help ensure whatever speed is on pace with your team’s needs and capabilities.

  • Collaboration. Creating special projects is a team sport. Greg has extensive experience collaborating with designers, directors, producers, creative technologists, carpenters, electricians, welders, PAs, BAs – all contributing in their own way to shared vision. (The Goodships name is literally an ode to collaboration, after all.)
